Careers & Higher Education Resources for Parents

Parents and guardians play a vital part in supporting their children’s career planning and research.

Many dedicated resources are available to help parents and students navigate career and higher education options. Additionally, all students have access to careers and higher education resources through Firefly – the School’s intranet. Students can access these by following the links from Resources > Student Life, then selecting Careers or Sixth Form (for HE resources).

Specialist web pages from the UCAS website aimed at parents, explaining how the UCAS application process works in the UK.

This explains all you need to know about student loans as well as when and how to apply.

Products include the Futurewise Direct profiling package; Career Insight Days.

Psychometric profiling tool used with all Upper Fifth students at Sidcot during the Autumn Term. Once students have completed tests, and accessed their results, they can activate a ‘parent invite’ tab, so that parents are able to view results.
