The Sidcot Holiday Club launched in April 2010 to provide childcare and fun activities for children aged 5 to 11 years. The club is open during every school holiday (excluding Bank Holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year). All children in the local area are welcome to come along, whether or not they attend Sidcot School.
Pre School Sessions - for children aged 3-4 years. These sessions run alongside, our main Holiday Club provision. Due to the care needs of this age group, swimming will not be included in their activity programme. Please note, children will need to be toilet trained to attend this group.

At Sidcot Holiday Club we provide a safe environment for children to learn and have fun, whilst also ensuring that they receive excellent care and support from fully qualified staff.
A Day at Sidcot Holiday Club
Children arrive between 8.30am and 9.20am. During this time, they have free play as they meet the other children attending that day. At approximately 9.30am, the day begins with welcome and games to help children get to know each other. After a break for a snack and outdoor play (weather permitting), children are encouraged to take part in the daily activity which will provide entertainment until it is time for lunch. After lunch, there is outdoor play and/or sports in the Sports Centre before the highlight of each day - a pool session led by our Swim Instructors and Lifeguards. We then return to the Junior school for a snack and film.
The preschool session runs alongside the 5-11-year session. Both groups join for the morning session - we often use the forest school area or go for walks. We all are together for lunch and the sports hall session. The preschool children return to the junior school in the afternoon whilst the older children are swimming for tailored activities for their age (story time, arts and crafts, free play). We then all join for the last half an hour to have our snack and watch a film.
Parents collect their children from 4pm. Late pickup is available at 4.30pm or 5.30pm to cater for the needs of working parents.
We also accept childcare vouchers.
*Please be aware that children will be required to bring two snacks, a drink in a refillable bottle and a packed lunch. We respectfully ask that you refrain from giving your child peanut butter sandwiches, pesto, nuts and other snacks that may contain nuts, as we do have children with severe allergies to such foods attending our Holiday Club.
Staffing
Our daily staffing ratios are at least 1 adult to 8 children. Half of all staff hold a recognised childcare qualification and all our staff are subject to DBS disclosure checks at the Enhanced level.
Each of our swimming sessions are supervised by qualified lifeguards.
Opening times
8.30am to 5.30pm during school holidays. Pick up times of 4.00pm, 4.30pm or 5.30pm.
