The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, known as DofE, is the world’s leading youth achievement award. For more than 60 years DofE has inspired young people to take on physical challenges, develop life skills and commit to voluntary work. DofE is part of life at Sidcot with hundreds of students taking part in either the Bronze, Silver or Gold awards each year.
The DofE is a flexible programme that helps to develop young people for life and work and is highly valued by universities and employers. For each award, participants must complete activities in four sections: volunteering, physical, skill and expedition.
At Sidcot we have a dedicated team to support students through the 3 awards, providing advice and guidance across all areas.
