Admissions At Sidcot

At Sidcot, we do not use Common Entrance Examinations to admit pupils, but we do ask all applicants from Year 7 upwards to sit an assessment in Maths and English to assess their current ability - these are not pass or fail tests, making Sidcot admissions a little different to those of other independent schools.

What’s more, while we do welcome the majority of our pupils at the start of the new school year in September, we can accept pupils throughout the year if there are places available in the year group. Read more about our admissions process.

Visit Sidcot

We know what matters to parents when choosing the right independent school for their children, and we know how important it is to see the school for yourself to view the facilities and put your mind at ease. There are plenty of opportunities to visit Sidcot before applying - see the date of our next Open Day, or book a place on a personal tour of the school. Prospective pupils can also attend a taster day to experience what it’s like to be a Sidcot student before joining. Find out more about opportunities to visit Sidcot.

For those untroubled by notions of social pretension or academic snobbery yet for whom a considerate altruistic atmosphere really matters, this is just the place.
