Working in our highly regarded English Faculty, which has a reputation for outstanding, innovative teaching and excellent examination results, you will be able to provide professional, strategic leadership, vision and development of the Faculty.  You will be able to implement and ensure the deliverance of high-quality teaching to students, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential whilst guaranteeing internal and external quality standards.

You will be an inspirational and well-qualified teacher, who is accomplished in teaching Key Stage 3 English, GCSE English Language and Literature and A-level English Literature.  Experience of teaching IB English in the Sixth Form is highly desirable but applications are equally considered from those who are inexperienced but willing to teach IB English.  IB training will be provided, as necessary.

Sidcot has a well-established international community with around 30 different nationalities living and learning together.   As such, we aim to offer diversity through our curriculum and schemes of work.  A readiness to teach across the ability range is essential, and SEN literacy support and EAL experience is an expectation. Above all, we seek a colleague who inspires a love of reading and writing and encourages students to challenge all they hear and read.
