Arcadia Exhibition

Many thanks to Sidcotian Pip Rush and all the team at Arcadia for the insightful 'Let Your Life Speak' talk given in the Arts Centre last week. Current students, parents, Sidcotians, staff and friends of the School were all enthralled by Pip's very personal account of how Arcadia was created. We all enjoyed experiencing their work first-hand, alongside photography by our own students, who have been lucky enough to visit Arcadia and to do some work with them.

Incubated at Glastonbury Festival, Arcadia repurposes military equipment into giant sculpted stages that have featured at cultural celebrations and iconic events around the globe.  During Pip’s talk it was fascinating to gain an insight into how it has evolved to become so successful. There was a real sense from the team that they have grown together and have the necessary talent and diverse skill sets to create extraordinary collective experiences through radical, progressive mediums. During the Exhibition, videos showcasing Arcadia Reach's charitable and outreach work around the globe also played in the Drama Studio.

We hope that you enjoyed the opportunity to see the Exhibition and thank you for supporting the event.
