My time at Sidcot is filled with amazing memories, and it is where I developed my passion for politics. Thank you so much to the amazing teachers and
boarding staff who made my time at School so memorable, and especially to Ms Pike who was of immeasurable help in perfecting my personal statement for UCAS and advising me on my choices.
I am delighted with my results today and to have secured a place at my first choice university. My time at Sidcot, has boosted my confidence and shown me a clearer picture of the path I want to take. The Careers team and all my teachers have given me invaluable support, and the many extracurricular activities, like the choirs and Office Holder positions, not only gave me a break from academic responsibilities but also helped me see what I’d like to continue further at university.
I was really happy to receive an offer from the University of Sheffield, and get grades greater than I was even predicted to secure my place. It’s going to be a completely different experience from school, and I can’t wait to try something new. I would like to especially thank the Maths department, who were amazing throughout my time at Sidcot, with my teachers going above and beyond in my final years to help me achieve an A* grade.
When I joined Sidcot in Year 10, I could never have imagined where I am today. Sidcot is where my music journey officially started, with my Year 10 tutor, Ms Cheung, putting me in my very first music class. I am thrilled to be continuing my passion for Music in higher education, and more than grateful for every opportunity I have had to study music at Sidcot. Mr Woolley, Director of Music, has inspired me to display my talents and provided me with all the support I need to express my love for music. As a boarding student, it has been such a pleasure to have Sidcot as a home away from home.
Warwick has always been my first choice university, so I’m incredibly pleased that my results have helped me to achieve this dream. I am going to be studying an integrated Master's in Chemistry, which I couldn’t have achieved without all the support from my teachers, tutor, and Careers Advisor.
I am very pleased with my A Level results, having achieved the grades needed for my first choice university. It was not an easy journey, but I am so proud of what I have achieved. After an amazing boarding experience at Sidcot, I’m thrilled to be continuing my studies in the UK at Queen Mary University of London.
I’m thrilled to have achieved the results to accept my dream offer to study History & Politics at the Universityof Cambridge. I have studied at Sidcot for 7 years, culminating in being selected as Head Student, and it has been the most incredible journey with exceptionally supportive staff who have helped me develop as a person and achieve my best. A particular thank you to my teachers for all your support through my A Levels and in applying to university; your encouragement and investment in my success made all the difference! I can’t wait to start this new adventure, and look forward to coming back to visit Sidcot soon.
In the long time I’ve studied and lived at Sidcot I’ve felt incredibly supported and heard by my teachers and staff. I am incredibly grateful for the genuine care my teachers showed by not only pushing me academically but also nurturing my passion for the arts. I am tremendously excited to go on to study Drama, Applied Theatre, and Education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and can’t wait to see where that takes me. As I move on in my career, I will cherish every theatre experience I was lucky enough to be part of at school, particularly last year’s Edinburgh Fringe trip with our in-school theatre company, Hurly Burly!
After a wonderful time at Sidcot, I’m delighted to have received my offer to study PPE at the University of Warwick. Studying the IB has been challenging, but I’m incredibly grateful to all my teachers for their hard work and support, which I certainly couldn’t have gone without; it has made me a better student and person in the process. I’m incredibly excited about this next step and will look back on my time at Sidcot with very fond memories.
