The World Beyond my Window

All of the Geography students in KS3 are completing an assessment task called ‘The World Beyond my Window’.

This is going to double up as an assessment piece and, all the best entries will be entered into the Royal Geographical Society Young Geographer of the Year competition.

This is an opportunity for students to think about places they have visited or where they live, they are encouraged to investigate not only their physical connection to the place but also their emotional one.

They will need to think about how the physical environment has developed through geographical processes and how it is shaped through human geography.

It is subjective how they approach this and we encourage individuality in the presentation.

There are a few parameters they need to work within and all of this information has been sent to them on their team. The deadline for this is in 3 weeks.

The student who submits the winning piece will be crowned Young Geographer of the Year!
