On Thursday 23 January, a group of Sidcot students visited the Blue School in Wells for the first Somerset Schools Eco Conference. The students had the opportunity to hear talks about climate action in the local area, as well as collaborating with students from ten other school to form ‘eco’ pledges. The students were full of ideas and came away with a renewed passion and enthusiasm to take action against the climate crisis.
We are planning to meet weekly on Tuesdays, for a working lunch, to discuss how Sidcot can become more sustainable and reduce its impact on the climate. All upper-school students are welcome!
We are also delighted to announce that Sidcot will be hosting the next Eco Conference in 2021.
