MONDAY
- All staff and students will be encouraged to speak in a different language for part of their day and lessons. Our international students have a prime opportunity to teach us all words from their language and share with us their cultures.
- LUNCHTIME- C1/1 at 1.25- LINGUISTICS FORUM TEAM CHALLENGES- Students in all years can come and have a go at various linguistic challenges in teams to win prizes
TUESDAY
- Y7 will get to enjoy and order a typical French breakfast during their French lesson
- Y9 will take part in an international Quiz with prizes awarded
- LUNCHTIME- THE HUB at 1.25 – SPEED COMMUNICATING- Students will collect a card and walk around various stations where representatives from different countries will teach you some basic greetings from their language and a fun fact about their country. When students have gone to all of the stations, and completed their card, they can hand it in for a prize.
WEDNESDAY
- Students from y10 and above who have chosen to teach a different language, will teach J1 and J2 as part of a Language Carousel.
THURSDAY
- Y8 will compete in an international digital challenge in one of their language lessons
- LUNCHTIME- 1.30 in C1/1- INTERNATIONAL BAKEOFF- Students and staff have been invited to bake or prepare a dish that represents their country or nationality and enter it for judging. Prize for the Bakeoff Winner!
FRIDAY
- LUNCHTIME- 1.30- Courtyard- come and create and international languages mural by adding some greetings
- LUNCHTIME- 1.20- Gardens- MINI WORLD CUP FOOTBALL Tournament- 5 minute games representing different countries. Trophy for the winners!
