We seek a well-qualified and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to teach German, with the ability to offer Spanish or French as a second subject. This is a fixed-term post for one year, between 40–60% FTE.
You will join a thriving and successful MFL department, where languages are highly valued and widely studied. The department offers courses at GCSE, A Level and IB, with strong uptake and a clear commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. There is a culture of collaboration, innovation, and a shared enthusiasm for languages and internationalism.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring classroom practitioner, able to engage and motivate students across a range of abilities. You will contribute to a department that promotes cultural understanding, curiosity, and confidence in communication, both within and beyond the classroom. Opportunities to contribute to trips, exchanges, and enrichment activities are encouraged.

The successful candidate will be committed to high standards of teaching and learning, have a strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages and will be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and support its ethos. Ideally the successful candidate will:
- Be able to teach German to A Level (and ideally IB)
- Offer Spanish or French to at least Key Stage 3/4
Candidates must be prepared to work flexibly in terms of hours and days worked. The post represents a 40–60% contract (subject to variation according to timetabling needs and the skills and qualifications of the successful candidate).
