Working within the excellent facilities of our highly regarded Design & Technology Department, you will be an inspiring and well-qualified teacher with the vision and leadership to further develop a dynamic and forward-thinking faculty. The department has a strong reputation for creativity, innovation and high-quality outcomes, and we are seeking a Head of Department who can build on this success.

The successful candidate will lead a diverse and engaging curriculum across Design & Technology, which includes Product Design, Textiles, Food Technology and Computing. In addition, the department offers the Leiths Food course at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, providing a distinctive and highly valued pathway for students.

You will be an experienced teacher with the ability to teach Design & Technology, including Product Design, to GCSE and, ideally, A Level. The ability to teach Product Design is an essential requirement for this role. You will bring a clear commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for curriculum development, staff support, and ensuring excellent outcomes for all students, while fostering a culture of creativity, independence and engagement.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are excited by the breadth of the Design Technology curriculum and who are keen to contribute to the continued development of this important area of the school.

This role attracts a Management Allowance in recognition of the leadership responsibility.
