A varied and fulfilling role that offers invaluable experience of working in our beautiful and vibrant Art department. Responsibilities include ceramic technician work including kiln management, some teaching of extra-curricular ceramics clubs, in class support across the disciplines. The successful candidate may also choose to develop their own practice outside of lesson times and facilities will be available for this purpose. Responsibilities will also involve varied boarding and school duties.
An exciting opportunity for graduates in tune with our approach to education in search of gaining experience of living and working in a boarding and day school, perhaps prior to embarking on a PGCE course or taking up a teaching position. The candidate will need to be technically confident in both firing and glazing techniques and able to respond to the practical challenges that a busy ceramics department brings. The candidate should be a proactive person who will enjoy sharing their own creative experience with our students.
