ISI Inspection - March 2017

ISI Inspection

What was always going to be a busy week became even more eventful when the inspection team from ISI came to carry out a combined compliance and educational quality inspection. They left no stone unturned in reviewing our policies, seeing how they are put into practice and looking at the quality of our educational, extra-curricular and pastoral provision. Despite some disruption to the normal routine, the inspection went very smoothly and I was delighted with the feedback that was given to me, members of the school’s senior leadership team and representatives from the board of governors.

It became apparent in the feedback that the inspectors had enjoyed their time with us and had been extremely impressed with our students. They were open, honest and clearly engaged in their learning. The values of the school really shone through and staff were recognised for their professionalism and the care they offered to students both inside and out of the classroom. It was a week when we walked tall and gave a clear and considered account of ourselves to the team.

I anticipate that the final report will be published at the beginning of May and am very grateful to all those who took part in the inspection process, not least the high number of parents who completed the questionnaire.
