Congratulations to our Year 11 students who received their GCSE and BTEC Level 2 results today. They have worked so diligently over the past two years as they prepared for their first public examinations, achieving over the national average with 29% of grades between grade 9 and 7, 72% grade 5 and above, and 89% grade 4 and above.
As a non-selective day and boarding school, Sidcot offers a variety of GCSE, IGCSE and BTEC subjects for Year 11 students and a specialist one-year IGCSE pathway programme for international students. We are thrilled that 10% of the grades achieved by our Year 11 Pathway students were grade 9, 24% achieved grades 9-7, and 60% achieved grades 5 and above.
Our Level 2 BTEC Sport students achieved exceptional results too, with a 100% pass rate, and 46% of students achieving a Merit or Distinction.
These results are a testament to our students' commitment to their studies and the support of our dedicated staff. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished during their time at Sidcot School and of the results they’ve received today.

Head, James Jones, commended students, saying,
“We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our GCSE students in this year’s examinations. Their results reflect the effort, determination and curiosity they have shown throughout their studies, and are a testament not only to their academic progress but also to the remarkable young people they have become. We warmly congratulate them on their success.
The excellent examination grades they achieved are only one measure of a student’s journey at Sidcot. Equally important are the qualities they have developed beyond the classroom. It has been a joy to watch them flourish and see how they develop confidence, resilience, and a wide range of skills that will guide them successfully into Sixth Form and stay with them in the years ahead.”
