What led you to be a teacher/work in Education?

Best use of my skills and being in a people orientated environment.

What's the best part of your job?

The variety and unpredictability; no two days are the same.

If you weren't in your current role, what would you be doing now?

A wildlife photographer.

What's your most memorable moment (so far) from working at Sidcot?

School productions – they are amazing!

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

“Remember, it’s a long game” - I.e. don’t go around upsetting people and think about tomorrow, not just now.

How do you live adventurously?

More and more through my children! I might not be parachuting, diving, or climbing mountains but I remember those days and encourage others to do the same.

What is one subject you are curious about?

The cosmos.

What is one cause you care passionately about?

Wildlife conservation.

What is one misconception people have about you?

I’m nice!

What surprises you about Sidcot?

The multinational dimension of students and staff.

What makes you proud of Sidcot?

The inclusivity of all.

How would you like to be remembered by your students?

Approachable, fair and consistent.

Vibrant.

Doer.

What notable individual would you invite to a dinner party and why?

Either, Marco Pierre White, Jamie Oliver or Tom Kerridge (ideally all three) on the basis they will be cooking dinner.
