As a result of the existing postholder moving to headship, we are looking to appoint a Deputy Head (Pastoral) to join our Senior Leadership Team in September 2019.

The role has a wide-reaching impact: working with the other members of the senior leadership team to effectively lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver the School’s objectives; ensuring the delivery of a first class modern, flexible and cost effective boarding, pastoral care and co-curricular offer; and performing the duties of the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

In addition to the afore-mentioned senior leadership role, the Deputy Head (Pastoral) will be expected to teach up to 25% of a full timetable. Any teaching subject will be acceptable.

This is an opportunity for an individual evidently in tune with the School’s vision, purpose and values. Candidates must be confident leaders with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders to ensure the School’s long-term future.

Hours: As required, including evenings and weekends, while adhering to the working time regulations

Holidays: Minimum of ten weeks per annum during non-term time, plus any additional holiday which may be allowed by the Headmaster during school holidays. Any additional holidays are non-contractual.

Salary: The post is offered at a salary on the Sidcot Senior Leadership scale and is commensurate with experience.
