On Wednesday 15 May Graham Hartley organised an orienteering session around the School site for Lower Fifth PASS. This brought together the navigational skills that the students have been learning throughout this academic year as part of the Adventure Programme. As well as navigation, the students have also been learning camp craft skills, how to cook in the field, back-packing and first aid. The whole programme aims to assist students completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award but also these are skills that could prove to be valuable in their futures. This was proved recently when a student had to use the knowledge learnt during PASS to assist in a medical emergency at home.
