Last week students worked on a project titled 'Recreate a famous work of art'. The aim of this task was to investigate how early photographers learnt about composition through looking at paintings. Students chose paintings to analyse and broke down their imagery into descriptive diagrams. This lead to the decision of whether to use real life models and items or found materials to stage a photographic version of the painting. Our students truly excelled themselves with some fantastic interpretations and imaginative use of objects/animals.
