At Sidcot School we like to talk about our students going off into the world and being changemakers. We want them to be prepared to make a positive difference to the world and the lives of those around them; a talented group of our musicians most certainly did that on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Cheung and I were delighted to accompany these students to Winscombe Hall where they sang Christmas carols and performed musical pieces to the joy of those around them. It was an absolute pleasure to watch as they made a difference to lives of the elderly residents, whose faces lit up as they themselves sang and appreciated the wonderful music and Christmas cheer. It really doesn't take a lot to make a difference. At this seasonal time of giving, I am truly grateful to both the students and the Music Department for supporting this event, which was inspired by our Upper Fifth PASS students. Well done to everyone involved; you have truly lived out our Quaker values and ethos.
