OPEN TO SIDCOT JUNIOR SCHOOL AND SENIOR SCHOOL PUPILS ONLY

A Swim Academy and Club to help develop members love of swimming, improve technical ability, stamina and to offer additional opportunities to participate in competitive swimming if desired. The Academy & Club is a Swim England affiliated club.

What is Sidcot Swim Academy?

Academy is the link between Learn to Swim lessons and Club level swimming. It focuses on motor skills (kicking, stroking and rhythmic breathing). Swimmers should have completed ASA Stage 6 and working towards Stage 7 or higher. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25m Frontcrawl and 25m Backstroke and have some experience of Butterfly and Breastoke.

What is Sidcot Swim Club?

The Club continues to further develop the skills learnt in Academy with additional items such as competitive turns and starts. There will be opportunities throughout the year to enter Open Meets once at the required level.

The Academy and Club is open to all swimmers, whether they wish to compete for the school in galas, for the club in licensed meets or simply to improve their skills for social swimming.
