Third Form Rat Dissection

Third Form Rat Dissection

We had so much fun and the students were fascinated. We are learning about ‘Organisation’ in the human body and about organs and organ systems. The Third Form scientists found it interesting how the different organ systems are placed within the body and also how the thorax is clearly separated from the abdomen.

The main comments from the students were that they didn’t realise that the heart would be so small, and that the liver was so big. Also they learnt that the small intestine is very long!
