U14 RoundersTournament at Priory School, Tuesday 6th June

v Backwell – won 6 - 3

v Clevedon – lost 0 - 3

v Hans Price – lost 4 - 8

v Priory – lost 3.5 - 7

v St Katherine's – won 11.5 - 2

This was a super afternoon of rounders, all played in really friendly good spirit.

Sidcot played well across the range of games, often batting first and leaving teams to chase their score.

Conditions were quite difficult – it was extremely windy – but good concentration and team focus ensured that this did not negatively affect performance. Freya King certainly managed very consistent bowling in the tricky conditions.

Our batting was generally good and our girls were keen and alert to scoring opportunities when they arose – always very important during short innings’ tournaments.

Fielding was steady and there was a good sense of’ ’team’ with careful ‘backing up’ and support play.

I spent a lovely afternoon with a delightful group of girls.

Players of the matches:  Freya King (2), Jasmine Bell (2), Olivia Fortune
