Girls' U13 Netball v Hans Price Academy, Thursday 9th November: Sidcot 5-1 HPA
The U13 girls had an exciting game on Thursday evening on the Sidcot courts. Having spent some time in the practice session on Wednesday on shooting technique, it was great to see Lila step up to the challenge so ably in the Match. In the first quarter the team moved sharply and passed accurately giving the shooters many opportunities to score. Sadly this was the most productive quarter and only one other goal was scored after this. It was nice to see the team work well together so now they need to aim for greater consistently in their movements to improve further.
Player of the match: Lila Porter.
Girls' U14 Netball v Hans Price Academy, Thursday 9th November: Sidcot 16-1 HPA
This was an assured and competent performance from a team that is really showing the benefit of working hard in lessons and at practice. There was good flow and movement of ball down the court and super teamwork and determined competitiveness throughout the game – but combined well with a strong sense of sportsmanship.
Our girls proved a little strong for our opposition on this occasion and really began to run away with the game in the final quarter.
Always a delight to coach and umpire - another pleasing performance from the Under 14 squad.
Player of the match: Lily Arnold
Girls' U18 Netball v Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School, Thursday 9th November: Sidcot 31-16 QEH
The ladies had their first school level netball match this week against QEH. They started very strong indeed and there was some lovely use of space and a good quality of passing. A huge well done to Ellie who joined the senior squad for this match and did a fantastic job. The ladies also demonstrated some great shooting, putting away a large percentage of shots.

Sidcot then found themselves under heavy pressure from Clifton throughout the first half, leaking 39 points in the first half. After a sloppy first half, Sidcot gathered themselves at the break and came out a different side. They played fast flowing aggressive rugby in attack and fronting up in defence – tries came pouring out from, Jamie Miles (2), Toby Finch and Myles Nichols. The final score read 52-32 to Clifton, but both sides agreed on the quality of rugby on show and the strength of the Sidcot comeback.

Boys' U13 Rugby v Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School, Wednesday 8th November: Sidcot 25-35 QEH
In perfect conditions for rugby, Sidcot made a very slow start and were down 20 points to five at half time. However, they rallied together and came out all guns blazing, playing aggressive high tempo rugby, though the likes of Tomtom Lloyd, Stanley Gould, Mackenzie Jones, Guy Owen and James Wroath. Theo Parker-Mills score a hatrick of quality tries to level the score at 20-20. QEH hit back only for man of the match Stanley Gould to equalize again with an outstanding solo try. Unfortunately QEH scored two tries in the last 5 minutes to secure the match, but it was by far the U.13 best performance of the season.
