Back in January the Sidcot Dressage Team qualified to represent Avon at the National Schools County Championships – and since then they have been working extremely hard practising the tests they would perform with their ponies. During the Easter break our riders were therefore very excited to travel to the beautiful Addington Manor Equestrian Centre in Buckinghamshire.
The team of Sophie Lee (Third Form), Erin Crofts (Lower Fourth), Lauren Wilkins and Caiomhe Collery (Lower Fifth) all rode fantastically well and achieved accurate tests at this impressive international venue.
The team should be congratulated as they represented Sidcot school brilliantly well and all their hard work was rewarded with a fantastic 4th place out of the 19 counties from across England that were competing. It should be noted that they were one of the youngest teams on some of the smallest ponies making this achievement even more special! Sophie Lee also had the honour of representing Avon in the individual competition being placed 4th, marvellous.
Well done team!
