I had the pleasure of taking my Lower Fifth Philosophy and Ethics students to visit the Hindu Temple in Neasden and Salisbury Cathedral last Friday. Despite the long journey, we had a wonderful day, which included observing an arti ceremony in the temple, seeing one of the few copies of the Magna Carter and being able to work together in a different setting. Both of these spectacular buildings are extremely impressive in terms of their construction and beauty. As places of worship they are truly inspirational, for those belonging to the community and for those lucky enough to visit.
I was, as always, proud of my students who asked well-informed questions and were delightful company. I hope they feel enriched by what they've seen and experienced! Thanks also to Wilson Marshall for driving us and taking part in the day with such interest.
