Lower Fifth Business students demonstrated their entrepreneurial skills last weekend at the annual Sidcot Garden Party. Having developed a unique product idea and drawn up a detailed business plan as part of the IGSCE Business Studies course, seven groups of students braved the variable weather to sell their products. Ideas ranged from fruit kebabs, 'Splat the Rat' to delicious homemade cakes. A mystery shopper rated their stalls for customer service and quality of their offer. This event represents an extremely valuable way of putting their business theory into practice, and we hope that it has set them up to be involved in the Young Entreprise Project in the Sixth Form. We are very proud of what the students were able to achieve.
