The GCSE art examination is in full swing as I write - the photographs here are students at work - and there are some beautiful works being created. I really look forward to the big exhibition that we shall be mounting in June, over the festival weekend, which will feature work from all our examination groups.
In the mean time don’t forget to pop in and see the Upper Fourth and IB exhibition, which will be in the Arts Centre until April.
Also in June we have been invited to the opening of the new Tate Modern gallery in London, which is very exciting. The Tate are opening the gallery with a schools day, a day before it opens to the public. They have selected a small number of schools, and a limited number of students for this special opening, so we are very lucky and privileged to have gained a place. We plan to take all our Year 12 students to this event.
