Week Ending Friday 10 February: Upper Fifth Pallant House Trip
On Tuesday we took our Upper Fifth students to the wonderful Pallant House Gallery in Chichester, and were treated to a tour of both their standing collection, and a special exhibition: The Mythic Method: Classicism in British Art 1920–1950.
This is a small gem of an art gallery, we highly recommend it to any of you passing by, and Chichester too is a lovely place to visit – the cathedral has a beautiful stained glass window by the early 20th century artist Marc Chagall.
Students took inspiration from the visit to further the work that they are doing on their GCSE Art examination.
The images featured are pages from examination sketchbooks, of drawings done in the gallery.
