Fifth Form visit to the EGX Exhibition, Birmingham NEC

Friday 25 September

This must have been the dream trip for every teenager. Our lucky few had the opportunity to play the latest games weeks before they were released. Games including Fifa 16, Star Wars Battlefront, Forza Motorsports and Destiny. The exhibition boasted a Cosplay section with fans dressed up as their favourite characters from computer games. They also had hundreds of other titles to look at from independent games designers and retro collections. As well as game playing the students attended careers fairs and developer sessions that showed them how the games that they love are created. Overall the students saw how large the computer games industry has become and how to start a career in the industry.
