Luke Jowett (Upper Fourth) made a great start in the English Trampolining Championships on Saturday 13 October. Despite suffering from a broken jaw whilst trampolining earlier on in the year, Luke has managed to compete again in a major competition.
He scored 40.055 in his set routine – with this score he was lying in third place going into his voluntary routine. Unfortunately, though, Luke went wrong in his penultimate move and didn’t make the final on this occasion.
However, there were lots of positives from both routines. His score of 40.055 is the highest he has ever achieved in a competition for his set routine and he also managed to execute three double summersaults in a row in his voluntary, which is also a first for Luke.
Well done Luke!
