With a new term, a new group of Year 9 face the ‘Eco shoe’ challenge. Once again four teams were given different eco systems previously studied in Geography. The aim of the session was for each group to bring awareness of the fragility of their eco-system by turning research into a creative textile outcome. The students had just one double lesson to decorate and embellish their shoe, create a promotional poster and prepare a pitch to Mr Doig on the plight of their campaign and cause.
The teams were all fantastic but after careful consideration Mr Doig felt that the polar/tundra shoe actually made him feel chilly. Well done to everyone who took part.
