Duke of Edinburgh Silver Assessed Expedition, Exmoor Duke of Edinburgh Silver Assessed Expedition, Exmoor

Duke of Edinburgh Silver Assessed Expedition, Exmoor

Congratulations to the Sixth Formers who completed their Silver assessed expedition on Exmoor during the weekend 25 to 27 September. The weather during the days was excellent with clear skies and warm sunshine. At night it was a different story with temperatures dropping to freezing meaning that students awoke to find the tents covered in ice! Everyone completed the routes efficiently and enjoyed a challenging three day expedition.

Our next expedition, for the Upper Fifth, is from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October. This is a Silver practice expedition and it is hoped that everyone on the trip will complete the Bronze award before departure. This time we will be in the Black Mountains in Wales.

We will soon enrol Lower Fifth pupils wishing to start the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. New students in Pathway and the Sixth Form will also be able to join.
