CAS is an important part of the IB diploma programme. The letters CAS stand for Creativity, Action and Service.
On Sunday 20 September, students in the Lower Sixth IB group completed a day of activities which gave ideas for possible CAS activities, promoted team spirit within the group and gave students new to Sidcot a chance to explore the local countryside.
The day started in the science labs with some team building activities and a chance study CAS diaries of past students. We then drove to woodland where teams attempted to build seats from natural material and then used them to sit around a campfire for lunch and marshmallows. An ascent of Crook Peak followed, making it an enjoyable and productive day.
