Since September I have been working on an artefact for my Extended Project Qualification. Due to my love for 1920s American culture and tap dancing, I chose to choreograph a dance in the styles that were prevalent in 1920s America including Charleston, Waltz and Tango. I also included dance moves that were inspired by influential individuals of the time such as Fred Astaire, Ann Miller and Bill Bojangles Robinson and from popular movies that were made in the 1920s including Glorifying The American Girl and Take A Look At Her Now. To accompany this dance, I researched a popular piece of 1920s jazz music and found Nothing Could Be Sweeter by The Virginians which was recorded exactly 90 years ago in 1927 in New York. I hope you enjoy the dance.
