4x4 in Schools Competition

4x4 in Schools Competition

We have a project we're working on with a group of students: 4x4 In Schools Competition. The team have to show that they have funded their own progress through sponsorship. They are disadvantaged if the School just gives them the money. We would like to ask parents if any of their businesses would like to sponsor the team.

This year Sidcot will be entering the 4x4 in Schools Competition for the first time. A group of dedicated Upper Forth and Lower Fifth students make up ‘Team Zeus’, who are currently designing and building their own off-road remote controlled vehicle. The team will compete against other teams across the South West in the regional final in January. The event will be well covered on social media by both Sidcot and 4x4 in Schools. The judges and organisers all have a background in engineering and business, including executives from the event sponsor, Jaguar Land Rover.

Team Zeus, from Sidcot, will be responsible for all materials they consume and judges expect the team to find funding for all their expenses. The team is currently looking for sponsorship from businesses who would like to partner with them in their competition journey. The team also expect to compete in 2019, as well as January 2018. The team will be using the Sidcot social media to keep you all up to date with its progress in the lead up to and during the event.
