Sidcot School Airport Transit

It’s natural to worry about how your child will make their way to school if they’re an international student arriving at the airport, but there’s no need, as we run an airport transit service at the start and end of every term for this purpose.

From Bristol International Airport

Sidcot School is located just a 15-minute drive from Bristol International Airport, and we have a taxi transfer service that provides trips to and from the airport when required. Many of our European students arrive at the school in this way, after travelling via Air France, easyJet, KLM, or Ryanair.

From London Heathrow Airport

Sidcot is situated approximately 2 hours’ drive from London Heathrow Airport, which is where many of our international students arrive in the UK. We have a school coach that provides a drop-off and pick-up service from Sidcot to Heathrow at the beginning and end of each term, and at the October half term.

Arranging Airport Transit For Your Child

All of our airport transit bus times and dates can be found on our term dates page. To book a place on the bus for your child, please contact overseas@sidcot.org.uk. Alternatively, an approved taxi can be organised by the school to fit with your travel arrangements.

If your child is travelling to the UK alone, their approved Educational Guardian will be responsible for arranging transit to and from the school for them. At the start of each term, their Guardian will make sure they have time to recover from jet lag before lessons begin, and at the end of each term, they’ll help them to prepare for the long journey ahead.

If you have any further questions about how international students should arrive at Sidcot, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
