Opportunities to visit Sidcot
Sidcot is in the South West of England only 15 miles from the city of Bristol and within one hour’s travel of Bath. Bristol International Airport is only 9 miles away making travel to Europe easy with airlines such as Air France, easyJet, Flybe, KLM and Ryanair.
On the edge of the village of Winscombe, Sidcot benefits from being situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty whilst being within easy access of the two major cultural centres of Bristol and Bath. The coast at Weston-super-Mare is 8 miles away.
We want to give you the opportunity to get know Sidcot, to find out if it feels the right place for you and your child. We offer various open events and tasters where you take a good look around, experience life at the School, and meet the students and staff.
Open Mornings provide a chance to visit the Junior and/or Senior School. You can explore the campus, see the facilities, meet students, parents and staff, and get a feel for the unique Sidcot atmosphere. We have one Open Morning each term.
Check dates and register for an Open Morning. Doors open at 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
If you’d prefer a personal tour we are happy to arrange a date and time to suit your requirements.

At a Taster Day, prospective students of the Junior and Senior School get an idea of what it is like to live and learn at Sidcot. Your child will join their year group for taster lessons and activities. They’ll have lunch together in the Refectory and get a feel for the educational approach of the School. For prospective boarding students, we may be able to arrange a night in one of our boarding houses, so your child can meet the House Parents and fellow boarders. Taster days are optional for the Senior School but are part of the admissions process for the Junior School. Nursery pupils experience a taster session in either the morning or afternoon.
Please refer to our website for the latest schedule of events and opportunities to visit the School.
