Q. What are your school fees?
A. Our school fees vary depending on what year a child is in and whether they are boarders or day students. You will find a full breakdown of our fees here.
Q. From what age do offer boarding?
A. At Sidcot we offer boarding from Year 7 or 11 years old. You’ll find more about our boarding houses here.
Q. Do you provide school buses, and where do they depart from?
A. Sidcot offers busses from across North Somerset, Somerset and Bristol. You’ll find further information, included the routes and times of our busses here.
Q. What out of school care does the school provide?
A. To make life as easy as possible for parents and carers, we offer a breakfast club for Nursery and Junior School children from 8am and after school care until 6pm. For more information or to book online click here. Our senior school students can remain in school until 6.30pm every evening. This gives them the opportunity to do their prep and have supper.
Q. What percentage of international students are there at the school?
A. Sidcot School prides its self on its global outlook and the school is represented by more than 30 different nationalities with approximately 26% foreign national students.
Q. How easy is it to get to the school from London?
A. Sidcot school is set in glorious countryside but can be accessed extremely easily. The school lies just south of Bristol only 15 minutes from Bristol International airport. By train, Bristol Templ Meads can be reached in as little as 1 hour and 38 minutes and the school is an easy 30 minute journey from the city centre. Q. My child has Specific Learning Difficulties would you be able to accommodate them?
A. At Sidcot we celebrate a broad mix of abilities and our Learning Support Department is highly experienced in providing support to students with mild to moderate learning support needs. Prior to joining the school students with be assessed to ensure their specific needs can be fully met. You will find more details about our Learning Support provision here.
Q. What Extra-Curricular activities do you offer?
A. At Sidcot the range of activities available to our students is extensive with everything from sports to the arts, voluntary work to environmental studies, catered for. With more than 100 extra-curricular activities on offer both at lunchtime and after school students are never short of choice. Q. Do you offer Scholarships and Bursaries?
A. Sidcot School offers both scholarships and bursaries. Scholarships are assessed annually and are awarded to students demonstrating excellence in academia, drama, art, sport, music and equestrianism. Bursaries take the form of means tested discounts with most intended to help children enter the school who wouldn’t otherwise be able to.
