Weather
Sidcot is fortunate enough to own two weather stations – one located at the Junior School and the other in the Coombe. This enables the students to study and compare the “micro climates” that exist between the two sites.
Both the Coombe weather station, and the fencing which surrounds the Junior School weather station were paid for using the Garrod legacy. During his time at Sidcot, Michael Garrod was a keen caver, glider pilot, and was interested in the old weather station. He then went on to be a national glider pilot and a meteorologist, and so it seemed right to replace the old weather station in his memory.

(*Please note: We are having some problems with two of the sensors at the Coombe weather station, resulting in a lack of some data at present. We are currently in the process of sourcing replacement sensors.)
