Staff and children at Sidcot school have been getting into the Christmas spirit by wrapping, packing and sending extra gifts overseas in a shoebox as part of the Operation Christmas Child appeal. Operation Christmas Child is the UK’s largest children’s Christmas appeal. They have been running for 20 years, and deliver gift filled shoeboxes to disadvantaged children in Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
On Thursday 18th November, Operation Christmas Child representatives Roger and Georgina Knightingale were at the school to collect the filled shoeboxes. In total the kind hearted students and staff excelled themselves by donating 109 filled shoeboxes to the appeal.
