Development History

These are some of the developments that have taken place at Sidcot as a result of donations and legacies received from Old Scholars, parents, governors, charitable trusts, Sidcot Building Trust, and friends of the school.

1970: Study block – Sidcot Building Trust

1974: Staff flats – Sidcot Building Trust

1978-79: Boys dormitories – Sidcot Building Trust

1982: Drama studio – Sidcot Building Trust

1992: Cullis Sports Centre and swimming pool – Bequest of Mr Cullis and Sidcot Building Trust

1999: Trevelyan Centre and library – Bequest of Mr Trevelyan, sale of land, and Sidcot Building Trust

2001: Junior School extension and major refurbishment of boarding accommodation – sale of land.

2005: Classrooms in the new Junior School – Sidcot Building Trust

2008: New Arts Centre – Sidcot Building Trust, St Christophers Trust Fund, and a large number of individual donations.
