The Boarding Houses

The facilities in each of the five boarding houses are broadly similar. Bedrooms are in a range of configurations and in all Houses Lower Sixth students will share with one or two other students and Upper Sixth students will have their own study or bedroom or will share with one other student. Younger students will share three or four to a bedroom, which gives them a chance to get to know others in the House.

Each House has a common room, which tends to be a focal point during leisure times – with TV, DVD and Playstations. Small kitchens in each House mean that students can make hot drinks and simple snacks.

The amount of study space varies from House to House. Some students prefer to have study facilities in their bedrooms while others prefer to study in the library; we can usually accommodate these differing requirements. On the whole Houses serve as a refuge from the demands of the working day and so students wishing to avail themselves of study resources are more likely to return to the main campus for this.
