All boarders are encouraged to register with the school doctor, who is also the local General Practitioner. A surgery is held at the Health Centre on Tuesdays (female doctor) and Fridays, and a trained counsellor is also available to see pupils as required. A doctor is always available in an emergency.

Prior to joining the school, pupils complete a detailed medical form. Within the first week pupils are invited to the Health Centre to meet the nurse and doctor.

The Health Centre can treat a complete range of illnesses and pupils with minor ailments are nursed in School.  Some conditions however, may mean that the pupil needs to return home/to the guardian.  Pupils with special medical need e.g. diabetes, ME, food allergies can be catered for.

The Nurses are happy to arrange dental, orthodontic, physiotherapy and optician appointments, with prior confirmation in writing from parents in respect of covering any costs.
