After School Care

After School Care occurs each week day from the end of the school day to 6.00pm for children in Nursery to J6.  A maximum of 32 children aged three to 11 years can be accommodated at each session.  There is a team of 3 staff members working with the children on a daily basis and all staff have the relevant levels of qualification and training to care for your children.   The session is run from a specifically designated room within the Junior school, however other facilities are used to provide a stimulating experience for the children including the hall, library and outdoor play areas.

Activities run at  the end of the school day between 3.30-4.30 pm (approximately)  from the Junior or Senior school classrooms, Equestrian centre or Sports centre and children are welcome to come into After School Care either before or after these activities until their parents can pick them up.

Children are accepted on a regular or occasional basis but a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.  During their time in After School Care, children are offered a snack (sandwiches and/or fruit) and a drink.  Special dietary requirements can be accommodated if required.  Children staying late in the evening (after 5.30 pm) are taken over to the main school refectory by our staff where they can have a cooked evening meal.

There is a programme of organised activities incorporated into the daily programme, including arts and crafts and a range of toys and games available for children to play with.
