Travel by Rail or Air
Sidcot is on the edge of the village of Winscombe, 15 miles south of the historic city of Bristol and 7 miles south of Bristol International Airport. The coast at Weston-super-Mare is 8 miles away.
Rail links to London are excellent, from Bristol Temple Meads (30 mins from Sidcot) and Weston-super-Mare (20 mins from Sidcot). There are a number of bus routes to Sidcot.
Travel By Road
From Bristol
Drive south through Churchill and Star. Shortly after Star, fork left into lane signposted to Oakridge and Sidcot School. The main entrance is on the right about 150 yards after the road junction.
From the North
Leave the M5 motorway and take the exit for Weston-super-Mare at the roundabout. Continue towards Weston-super-Mare until you reach a roundabout and take a left turn, signposted for Banwell. Continue along this road until the village of Banwell; go straight through the village up the hill and the road bears left to Winscombe. Continue to Winscombe, through the village, where the road intersects with the A38. Cross the junction at the traffic lights into Fountain Lane. At the top of the lane turn left and the main school entrance is second on the left.
From the South
Leave the M5 motorway at junction 22 and proceed north on the A38. Continue until you reach Winscombe, where there is a crossroads; turn right at the traffic lights into Fountain Lane. At the top of the lane turn left and the main school entrance is second on the left.
From the East
Drive west on the A371 from Wells via Cheddar, as signposted to Weston-super-Mare, to the junction with the A38. Follow signs to Bristol and continue north to the Winscombe crossroads. Turn right at the traffic lights into Fountain Lane. At the top of the lane turn left and the main school entrance is second on the left.
