Bus Routes

The town of Winscombe, half a mile from Sidcot, is linked by bus routes to the cities of Bristol and Wells and to the neighbouring town of Weston-super-Mare.  Services are currently provided by First Group, whose website, including full timetables, may be found at www.firstgroup.com.  The Weston-super-Mare to Bristol service is number 121 and serves many local towns and villages including Locking, Churchill and Wrington.  The Weston-super-Mare to Wells service is number 126 and serves Locking, Axbridge and Cheddar.

In addition to these public services, the School provides a private bus service from Bristol to the School.  This service currently leaves Gloucester Road at 7.35 am, goes through Redland and Clifton, then along the A38 where it picks up students at Barrow Gurney and Bristol Airport and arrives at the School in time for morning registration.  Please ask the Bursar’s Secretary for contact details for the parent group which co-ordinates this service. Demand for services is reviewed regularly and there is currently a service which starts in Burnham-on-Sea and runs via Brent Knoll to the school.
