We are delighted to announce the arrival of our very first outdoor Sculpture installation by Fiona Campbell.

Fiona lives and works in Somerset. She graduated with distinction in Fine Art and Sculpture from the Byam Shaw School of Art, London, later gaining a PGCE at Exeter University.

Her work reflects an interest in our relationship with the natural world, nature’s cyclical persistence, vitalism and the essence of life. Fiona creates mixed media sculptures wrought as primal, linear, nest-like structures often in an apparent state of emergence, growth or metamorphosis. A mix of delicate and strong, earthy and ethereal, they are often an extension of her drawings.

The pieces can be seen at the front entrance to the Arts Centre at any time and will remain in place until the end of July 2014. More of Fiona’s Sculptures will also appear in the ‘Of Form & Texture’ exhibition opening on 22 March.

BV Studios (Bristol) is located in Bedminster.  It is home to many artists and creative businesses.  This showcase of ten selected artists from BV, aims to highlight and promote some of the talent of those who occupy studio space.  Artworks on display will include painting, photography and collage.

Painter/collagist Ruth Piper has created a showcase of fresh works by new and established artists from the studios.  This is a great chance to see a group of very different artists under one roof and an opportunity to discover what’s on your doorstep by bringing a little bit of Bristol to North Somerset.
