The Admissions Process

Sidcot is a popular school and so we advise all families to register interest early in your decision making to ensure you have the best chance of gaining a place.  There are dates to meet for Admissions to Sidcot and allocation of spaces is on a first come, first served basis.  The timetable and policy relating to the admissions process can be found below depending on whether you are applying from the UK or as an International student.

We do accept children all year round if we have spaces, but the earlier you apply, the more likely you will be of securing a place for your child in your chosen year group.

Taster & Play Days

We understand that choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions you will make as a family and it is difficult when there are so many options available.  However, we are confident that your child will thrive at our school and are happy to demonstrate this through a taster day, where they will experience a day as a Sidcot student.  They will join their year group for lessons, enjoy our delicious lunch, take part in activities and get an understanding of the educational approach of the school. For a boarding student, we can also arrange a night in one of our boarding houses so your child can meet the House Parents and their fellow boarders.

For Early Years’ children, we have ‘play days’ on either a morning, afternoon or whole day depending on their ability to cope.  We invite your child to come and experience our nursery or reception class to learn why Sidcot offers so much more at this important stage in engaging children in education.
