Entry Requirements

International Students Entry

We ask all International students to sit an assessment test in English and Maths to be able to assess your ability to cope with the academic courses and to set you accordingly.

  •  Senior School Entry- Third Year to GCSEs- Fifth Form (Year 10)

For entry to our Senior School, you will need to be able to speak and understand the English language to a minimum IELTS score of 4.5 in all of the four disciplines.

  • Sixth Form Foundation (Year 11)

This is an intensive 1 year GCSE and language course for 15 and 16 year old International students. The course dedicates 50% of the timetable to studying GCSEs (up to 5 depending on ability) and 50% of the timetable improving comprehension of the English language.  A minimum IELTS score of 4.5 across all the disciplines is required.

  • Sixth Form (Year 12)

Sixth Form (Year 12) entry to Sidcot is conditional on passing our internal Maths and English tests so we can be sure you are able to undertake the A Level or IB Diploma courses.  A minimum IELTS score of 5.0 across all the disciplines is required.
